
Buckeyes Set for 2026 Spring Schedule

Ohio State opens with Toledo/Xavier Jan. 18
2026 Schedule
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men's tennis team will open the dual portion of its 2026 schedule Jan. 18 at the Ty Tucker Tennis Center in Columbus. The matches that day against Xavier and Toledo will be the first of 15 regular-season home competitions.
The Buckeyes are once again set to host the ITA Kickoff Weekend Jan. 23 and 24 and will welcome Purdue, Old Dominion and North Alabama. This will be the 17th time Ohio State is hosting a Kickoff Weekend pod. The Buckeyes have a record of 31-1 in the previous matches in Columbus.
Ohio State will remain at home for five duals against Texas (Jan. 30), Wake Forest (Feb. 1), Virginia (Feb. 7), Notre Dame (Feb. 22) and Dayton (Feb. 22). The Buckeyes travel to Waco, Texas, Feb. 13-16 for the ITA National Team Indoor within that stretch.
A road trip to Baylor (March 5) comes just before the start of Big Ten play at Penn State (March 7).
The home opener in conference play is against Michigan March 13 before Michigan State travels to Columbus March 15.
The Buckeyes will step away from league play briefly to travel to College Station, Texas, to face Texas A&M March 18.
Illinois (March 27), Northwestern (March 29), Oregon (April 10) and Washington (April 12) also visit the Ty Tucker Tennis Center during league play.
The Buckeyes travel to Indiana (March 20) and Purdue (March 22) before a trip to Los Angeles to take on UCLA (April 3) and USC (April 5). The final conference road trip is to Wisconsin (April 17) and Nebraska (April 19).
Following conference regular-season matches, the Buckeyes travel to Ojai, California, for the 2026 Big Ten Tournament April 23-26.
The final rounds of the 2026 NCAA Team Tournament will be held in Athens, Georgia, May 14-17. Opening rounds will be held May 1 and 3 with the Super Regionals scheduled for May 8-9.
Five Buckeyes will start the season with a singles ranking. Junior Aidan Kim leads the way at No. 5. He is followed by senior Jack Anthrop at No. 22, sophomore Nikita Filin at No. 42, junior Alex Okonkwo at No. 48 and redshirt-junior Preston Stearns at No 51.
In doubles, three Ohio State tandems are among the Top 10 nationally headed into the Spring season.
Kim and junior Bryce Nakashima top the list at No. 3 with Filin and redshirt-sophomore Brandon Carpico next at No. 5. Okonkwo and senior Alexander Bernard rank No. 10 after the fall season.
Filin and Carpico advanced to the finals of the NCAA Doubles Championships this fall. Kim and Nakashima made it to the quarterfinals. Both teams earned All-America honors with appearances in the NCAA quarterfinals.
