
Downs, Sayin & Smith Named Walter Camp Semifinalists

Sayin also named a Davey O’Brien award semifinalist; Ohio State has 16 award semifinalists
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Three of the best players in college football, Ohio State's junior safety Caleb Downs, sophomore quarterback Julian Sayin and sophomore wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, have been named semifinalists for the Walter Camp Player of the Year award. The list includes 11 quarterbacks, six defensive players, two running backs and one wide receiver.
Sayin was also named today as a semifinalist for the Davey O'Brien national quarterback of the year award.
Ohio State now has six different players named a total of 16 times as a semifinalist for nine national awards to date.
