- Ohio State extended its nation-leading winning streak to 12 consecutive games with its victory over Penn State Saturday. The series between Ohio State and Penn State stands at 26-14 with Ohio State winning its ninth straight game over the Nittany Lions.
- Ryan Day's head coaching record is now 78-10, leading the nation with a winning percentage of .882. His Big Ten record now stands at 51-5.
- Ohio State improved to 5-0 against Penn State when ranked No. 1 in the AP Poll, with the previous wins coming in 1998, 2006, 2007 and 2015.
- Quarterback Julian Sayin finished the day 20-of-23 for 316 yards and four touchdowns. Sayin pushed his nation's best pass completion percentage to 80.7. It was his fifth game this year with 300+ passing yards.
- Bennett Christian recorded his first touchdown this season and the second of his career on a one-yard reception in the third quarter.
- Jeremiah Smith got the Buckeyes into the endzone and ahead 7-0 on their first drive on a 14-yard reception from Julian Sayin. He also had a touchdown reception in the fourth quarter, marking his sixth career game and his third this season with multiple receiving touchdowns.
- Smith finished the day with six catches for 123 yards and in the process eclipsed 2,000 career receiving yards. He now ranks 14th all-time among Ohio State receivers in career receiving yards with 2,040.
- Carnell Tate registered a 45-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter. He also had a career-long 57-yard reception in the third quarter. Tate finished the game with five catches for a team-high 124 yards. Tate now has 711 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on the year.
- This was the second time this season two Ohio State receivers registered 100+ yards in the same game.
- Kicker Jayden Fielding was perfect on the day, going 4-for-4 on extra point attempts and converting his one field goal attempt with a 22-yard kick in the first quarter.
- Brandon Inniss recorded his longest reception of the year with a 29-yard catch in the first quarter, besting his previous long of 13 yards at Wisconsin. Innis also recorded a season-best 41 receiving yards on four catches.
- Defensive lineman Kenyatta Jackson Jr. Had a great day, recording four tackles and a pair of sacks. It was his first career multi-sack game.
- Linebacker Arvell Reese recorded his third sack of the year and finished the day with a career-high 12 tackles. He leads the Buckeyes with 54 stops on the year.
- Defensive lineman Kayden McDonald matched his career high with eight tackles, first set in the season-opening win over Texas.
- The Buckeye defense limited Penn State to a season-low 55 yards rushing. The Nittany Lions' previous season low was 135 yards. The 55 yards were the fewest for the Nittany Lions since rushing for just 49 yards against Ohio State on Oct. 21, 2023.
- Safety Caleb Downs recorded his second interception of the season and the sixth of his career.
- Ohio State has won 23 consecutive games following a regular-season bye.
