Bianca Alvarez

Bianca Alvarez is one of the most accomplished divers in Ohio State history. An eight-time All-American, Alvarez was the Big Ten champion on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards her senior season in 2012 and was the NCAA runner-up on the 3-meter in 2008 and 2012. She was named the Big Ten Diver of the Year in 2012, becoming the first Buckeye to receive the honor since 1996, and also was selected First Team All-Big Ten. Alvarez was a five-time Ohio State Scholar Athlete and a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and she earned the prestigious Big Ten Medal of Honor in 2012. She was a nominee for the NCAA Postgraduate Award and for the Big Ten Wayne Duke Postgraduate Award.
Alvarez qualified for the United States Olympic Trials in 2008 and 2012 and was a finalist in 2012. She also competed in the World University Games, taking home both silver and bronze medals.
