No. 15 Buckeyes Set for 2025 Campaign

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- This season, the Ohio State women's tennis schedule features 11 regular season home matches, along with at least nine matches away from Columbus.

In the ITA Preseason Coaches Poll released Monday, the Buckeyes were ranked 15th. The spring slate includes at least seven matches vs. Top 20 foes – No. 4 Oklahoma State, No. 5 UCLA, No. 8 Michigan (twice), No. 11 Duke, No. 14 NC State, No. 17 USC and No. 18 Tennessee (possible).

Leading the Buckeyes will be sophomore Luciana Perry, who was named a Big Ten Player to Watch Monday, as the league coaches recognized a standout from each team heading into the year for the first time. Perry, who is ranked eighth nationally in singles, earned her second All-America honor in the fall after reaching the quarterfinals of the NCAA Singles Championship. She captured the program's first ITA Midwest Regional singles title and was 14-4 in fall action overall.

The Buckeyes will begin their spring season at the Michigan Invitational, an individual event played in a hidden dual format, Friday through Sunday in Ann Arbor, Mich.

The regular season starts with a doubleheader at home in the Ty Tucker Tennis Center Jan. 20, as Ohio State will welcome Cleveland State at 10 a.m. and Bellarmine at 4 p.m.

The Buckeyes will head to Knoxville, Tenn., for ITA Kickoff Weekend Jan. 24-25, where they will take on NC State in the first round and either Tennessee or Texas Tech on day two. The site winner will advance to the ITA National Team Indoor Championship, held Feb. 7-9 in Evanston, Ill. Time on the road will continue with a match at Duke Feb. 1.

Ohio State will begin a three-match homestand when it takes on Oklahoma State Feb. 23, followed by Big Ten matches against Purdue Feb. 28 and Indiana March 2.

The Buckeyes will be on the road for their next four matches, all against Big Ten foes, as they will play at Michigan March 15, at Michigan State March 16, at Maryland March 21 and at Rutgers March 23.

To conclude the month of March, the Buckeyes will host new Big Ten programs UCLA and USC March 28 and March 30, respectively.

April starts with two road matches, playing at Northwestern April 4 and at Illinois April 6.

The regular season ends with four straight home matches. The Buckeyes will host Penn State April 12, Michigan April 16, Wisconsin April 19 and Minnesota April 20 on Senior Day.

The Big Ten Tournament will be held April 23-27 in Ojai, Calif.

Home matches will be played inside the Ty Tucker Tennis Center or outside at the Varsity Tennis Courts in the Auer Tennis Complex. Admission and parking are free for all Ohio State regular-season home matches.
