No. 14 Buckeyes Fall to No. 4 Spartans Friday

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 14 Ohio State women's gymnastics team fell to No. 4 Michigan State Friday evening at the Covelli Center, 196.800-195.750.
Freshman Rylee Guevara scored her third consecutive 9.900 on floor for her first career event title. She earned the team's second floor title in as many meets.
Sophomore Courtney McCann picked up her first event title of the season, scoring a season-best 9.900 on beam. The score is just her second 9.9 on the apparatus of her career and first since her collegiate debut when she tied the program record with a 9.975.
Also adding a season-high mark in the meet was Sidney Washington with a 9.850 in the lead off on vault.
The Buckeyes' best event of the night was floor, with the team scoring a 49.200 in the final rotation. Following Guevara's 9.900, Tory Vetter and JJ Coleman tied for fourth overall with 9.850s. Washington, Kaitlyn Grimes and Payton Harris, in her season debut in the event, added 9.800s.
