The No. 6 football team followed up its first round CFP win over Tennessee and its Rose Bowl win over Oregon with a victory over No. 3 Texas in the Cotton Bowl to advance to Monday’s CFP national championship game against Notre Dame at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.




Still unbeaten at 16-0 overall and 5-0 in the Big Ten is the No. 9 women’s basketball team after a huge come-from-behind-late victory at Michigan and a homecourt victory over Oregon yesterday.

The No. 16 women’s gymnastics team opened its season at the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad Saturday in Oklahoma City, Okla. and finished third with a score of 196.425 in a competition that included Top 10 teams UCLA, Kentucky and Arkansas.




The No. 11 men’s hockey team split its home weekend series with No. 3 Minnesota to now sit at 15-6-1 overall and 8-4-0 in the Big Ten Conference.





The track & field teams opened their respective 2025 seasons at the Rod McCravy Invite on Saturday in Louisville, Ky. with the women placing second among 15 teams and the men taking third among 16 teams.





The men’s basketball team defeated Minnesota on the road and dropped a two-point decision to No. 15 Oregon to head into this week 10-6 overall and 2-3 in the Big Ten Conference.




The No. 2 women’s hockey team swept Bemidji State over the weekend at the OSU Ice Rink to improve to 15-5-3 overall and 10-5-3 in the WCHA.
The No. 11 men’s volleyball team swept Fort Valley State at the Covelli Center this weekend to even its record at 2-2 on the season.

The No. 7 men’s gymnastics team won the West Point Open on Friday in its season opener, scoring 315.800 against a field that included nationally ranked teams Penn State, Army, Navy, Springfield and William & Mary.




The No. 4 wrestling team remains undefeated at 10-0 and 2-0 in the Big Ten after hard-fought wins over Illinois on Friday and over No. 17 Rutgers Sunday in front of more than 3,700 fans at the Covelli Center.




The artistic swimming team defeated Michigan, 80.0-61.5, in its own Zero Waste Invite to open the season.
