COLUMBUS, Ohio – Hailey MacLeod and Jordyn Petrie have earned Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) player of the week awards for their efforts in the Ohio State women's hockey team's sweep over Bemidji State, the conference announced Monday. MacLeod earns goaltender of the week honors and Petrie picks up the rookie of the week nod.

MacLeod made 15 saves for Ohio State in Saturday's 3-0 win at Bemidji State. The result was her first win and shutout as a Buckeye. She also earns the team's first shutout of the season. With the win, the junior from Abbotsford, B.C. improves to 1-1-0 on the year with a .911 save percentage.

Petrie finished the weekend with a team-high three goals. She recorded her first multi-goal game of her career in Friday's 8-2 win and added another tally in Saturday's win. The Lincoln, Neb. native's four goals on the year tie for the most in the country and she leads rookies nationally in points with five.

The Buckeyes are back in action this weekend against No. 8 St. Lawrence. The teams face off at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4 and 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5. Both games will be streamed on ESPN+.
