COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State senior swimmer Charlie Clark and former Buckeye Hunter Armstrong have been selected to the United States National Team roster for 2024-25, announced by USA Swimming last week. This is the fourth straight season making the team for both Clark and Armstrong.
The U.S. National Team roster is comprised of 106 swimmers from across the nation, based on results from the Paris Olympic Games 2024 and times from Jan. 1, 2024 through Aug. 24, 2024.
"As we start the LA 2028 quad, we are thrilled to announce a roster of athletes who genuinely embody the best aspects of our sport," said USA Swimming Interim Chief Executive Officer Shana Ferguson. "This team features a strong mix of veteran presence and emerging talent certain to showcase their USA Swimming club teams and universities at the highest levels of international competition."
Clark qualified for the team in both the 800 free and the 1500 free. In the 800 free, he recorded a qualifying time of 7:52.83 at the Speedo Summer Championships in Columbus over the summer. He secured his 1500 spot with a time of 14:57.44 at the World Aquatics Championships on Doha, Qatar earlier this year.
Armstrong will represent Team USA in the 100 free and the 100 back. Armstrong qualified for his 100 free spot with a time of 47.59 at the U.S. Olympic Trials in June and earned his spot in the 100 back with a time of 52.68 at the World Aquatics Championships in Doha.
