COLUMBUS, Ohio – Sophomore forward Joy Dunne of the Ohio State women's hockey team has been named to the Preseason All-WCHA team, the conference announced Monday.

The 2024 WCHA Rookie of the Year finished her stellar rookie campaign with 42 points on 24 goals and 18 assists. She led her class in points last season and became the first Buckeye to earn the Julie Chu National Rookie of the Year award. She also scored a program record six game-winning goals last season, including the lone tally in the 2024 national championship game. Â

Also announced Monday was the WCHA's Preseason Coaches' Poll. Ohio State was voted to finish second in the conference with 43 points and two first-place votes and follows Wisconsin (46 points, five first-place votes). Also earning a first-place vote was Minnesota, who was voted third with 40 points.

The team's 2024-25 campaign starts this weekend in Columbus against Minnesota Duluth. The teams face off at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 and 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22. Tickets for Ohio State women's hockey games can be purchased HERE.
