Buckeyes Ready to Compete in Columbus Challenger

COLUMBUS, Ohio – This week, the Ty Tucker Tennis Center will play host to the ATP Columbus Challenger and a host of Buckeyes will be in action.
Nine current Buckeyes and five former Buckeyes will all compete in singles and doubles action.
In Sunday’s single pre-qualifier, Preston Stearns, Will Jansen and Aidan Kim are playing along with former All-American Cannon Kingsley. Alexander Bernard, Jack Anthrop and Bryce Nakashima all earned wild cards in the main draw and join JJ Wolf and James Trotter.
In doubles, there are five teams that contain at least one Buckeye. National Champion JJ Tracy is joining fellow Buckeye All-American and national runner-up Matej Vocel this week. Nikita Filin, fresh off an appearance at the US Open is pairing with Aidan Kim and redshirt-freshmen Brandon Carpico and Alex Fuchs received a doubles wild card as well. Kingsley and Trotter are also both playing with separate partners this week.
