2025 Big Ten Opponents Announced

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Big Ten Conference announced the league opponents for the 2025 Wrestling season Tuesday. Ohio State will face eight league opponents with four matches at the Covelli Center and four taking place on the road.Â
Dates, times and television designations will be announced at a later date.Â
Tom Ryan's Buckeyes will battle Minnesota, Purdue, Penn State and Rutgers in Columbus in 2025. Ohio State will travel to Iowa, Illinois, Indiana and Michigan.Â
Ohio State finished with a dual record of 15-2 a year ago, which included a 7-1 Big Ten record. The 2024-25Â Buckeyes return starters at eight weights in the nine that qualified for the 2024 NCAA Championships.Â
Back are Brendan McCrone (125), Nic Bouzakis (133), 2024 NCAA Champion/All-American Jesse Mendez (141), 2023 All-American Dylan D'Emilio (149), 2024 All-American Rocco Welsh (174), Ryder Rogotzke (184), Luke Geog (197) and 2024 All-American Nick Feldman (HWT).Â
Welsh finished second at the 2023 NCAA Championships in his freshman season in Columbus. Feldman earned fifth as a redshirt freshman.Â
McCrone (R-So.), Bouzakis (R-So.), Mendez (Jr.), Welsh (So.), Rogotzke (So.), Geog (R-So.) and Feldman (R-So.) all have at least two years of eligibility remaining in Columbus. Six of the seven have three-years of eligibility.Â
