Women’s soccer is off to a 3-0 start with two more wins this past week: 4-0 over Milwaukee and 3-1 over Ashland with both matches played at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. Next home match: this Thursday at 4 p.m. vs. South Carolina.

The men’s soccer team (1-0-1) defeated Akron on the road Sunday, 2-0, after playing to a 1-all tie against Cleveland State in its season opener. Next home match: Thursday at 8 p.m. vs. SIU-Edwardsville in the Wolstein Classic.

Exhibition games are winding down and four more teams – women’s volleyball, field hockey and the men’s and women’s cross country teams all open regular season play this week. The home opener for the field hockey team is Friday at 4 p.m. versus Albany.
