
Hollenbaugh, McGinty Named to All-Big Ten First Team

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Kary Hollenbaugh and Caley McGinty have been named to the All-Big Ten First Team, announced by the conference on Tuesday.
Hollenbaugh, who was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team in 2023, leads the team this season with a 71.56 stroke average. She has earned six top-20 finishes, four top-10 finishes and three top-5 finishes. Hollenbaugh won her first collegiate event this season, placing first at the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational with a 36-hole score of 136 (-8). She wrapped up the regular season tying for second place at the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational with a three-round total of 214 (-2). At the Big Ten Championships, Hollenbaugh tied for 10th place, turning in a 54-hole score of 215 (-1).
McGinty has a stroke average of 72.00, which is second-best on the team. She has six top-20 finishes, four top-10 finishes and two top-5 finishes. She closed out the regular season winning the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational with a 54-hole score 210 (-6). She is the first Buckeye since 2012 to win the event and it was her seventh collegiate title.
Also announced by the conference on Tuesday were each school's Sportsmanship Award winners. Faith Choi was Ohio State's honoree.
The Buckeyes are back in action May 6-8 when they compete at NCAA Regionals in Bryan, Texas.
