
Blaine Wilson Announced as CGA Hall of Fame Inductee

The College Gymnastics Association announced its 2024 Hall of Fame class on Wednesday.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The College Gymnastics Association announced its 2024 Hall of Fame induction class on Wednesday. Ohio State alumnus Blaine Wilson ('97) was included in the induction class.
The 2004 Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame inductee won six national titles for the Buckeyes, including all-around championships in 1996 and 1997. Wilson earned All-American honors 10 times, including four each during his junior and senior seasons. The three-time Big Ten Gymnast of the Year also won the 1997 Nissen-Emery Award, given to the country's most outstanding senior. Wilson also won 11 individual conference titles and was named 1994 Big Ten Freshman of the Year.
Wilson is a three-time Olympian, competing for Team USA in the 1996, 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games. He helped Team USA to a silver medal in 2004, the U.S. men's first Olympic team medal since 1984. Wilson represented the U.S. in four World Championships (1995, 1997, 1999, 2003), leading the team to a silver medal in 2003. Individually, he was fourth in the all-around at the 1999 World Championships, just .001 off the podium.
Ohio State hosts the NCAA Championships on April 19-20 inside the Covelli Center with the qualifiers on Friday and the Championships on Saturday.
