Weekly highlight of the student-athletes behind the major moments in Ohio State Athletics
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Week in and week out, Buckeye student-athletes raise the standard of excellence set at Ohio State, whether that be in competition, in the classroom or in the community. 'Buckeye Spotlight' recognizes student-athletes who had noteworthy accomplishments both in contests and beyond the box score.

- Battle led the Buckeyes to a pair of victories last week, the first back-to-back wins since the turn of the calendar year for the team.
- With leading scorer Bruce Thornton out for the Nebraska game, Battle stepped-up in a big way, scoring a season-high 32 points.
- He made four three-pointers and tied a career-high by going 10-of-10 from the free throw line vs. the Cornhuskers.
- Against Michigan, he made two more three-pointers and finished with eight points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals.
- Battle leads the Big Ten with 79 three-pointers on the season and has 336 for his career.
- Jenna Buglioni led the Buckeyes with six points in the WCHA Quarterfinal series against Bemidji State last weekend.
- In the first game, she recorded a team-high and career-high tying four points on two goals and two assists to help the Buckeyes defeat the Beavers, 10-1, and set the program record for goals in a postseason game.
- She added a goal and an assist in the Buckeyes' 8-0 win on Saturday.
- The Buckeyes' postseason continues this week at the WCHA Final Faceoff. The team will play Minnesota Duluth in the semifinals Friday a 2 p.m. ET in Minneapolis, Minn. for a spot in Saturday's championship game.
- Sam Campbell won gold in the 1650 free at the Big Ten Championships over the weekend; it is his first career individual medal at the conference championships.
- Campbell shaved 24 seconds off his 2023 time to finish with an NCAC B standard time of 14:42.63, which is also the seventh-fastest time in the country this season.
- Campbell helped the Buckeyes to a second-place finish; it is Ohio State's 15th straight top-three finish at the Big Ten Championships.
- In the Buckeyes' win over Butler Saturday, Hargraves scored twice, head a team-high five draw controls and caused a turnover.
- The five draw controls were one off her career best six set earlier this spring. It was her fourth career multiple-goal game.
- This season, Hargraves has eight goals and shares the team lead with a career-high 17 draw controls.
- Hargraves and the Buckeyes open Big Ten Play Thursday at No. 6/4 Michigan before returning home to host Marquette March 12 and Maryland March 16.
- Payton Harris tied her career highs on two events in last Friday's home finale against Bowling Green, Illinois and Kent State.
- She won the floor title outright with a career-best tying 9.950 and matched her career high with a 9.900 on uneven bars to tie for first overall.
- Harris and Tory Vetter tied for first with 39.500s in the all-around.
- The Buckeyes continue the season at BYU Friday.
- Helped the Buckeyes split a pair of Top 15 matches with a team high 42 kills and a hitting percentage of .395
- Added five aces and tied for the team lead in digs with 15
- Ohio State swept No. 14 Lewis and fell to No. 13 Loyola Chicago (3-2)
- Against the Ramblers, Wetzel had a career-high 24 kills with an ace and nine digs
- The Buckeyes travel to face No. 11 USC and No. 4 UCLA this week for the Big Ten/Pac-12 Challenge
