
Brann Named Big Ten Indoor Male Freshman of the Year

The Big Ten Conference announced its indoor awards on Thursday.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Big Ten Conference announced its end of season indoor awards on Thursday. Braxton Brann was named Big Ten Indoor Male Freshman of the Year, as selected by the league's coaches.
Brann earned All-Big Ten Second Team honors after finishing as the runner-up in both the 60m hurdles (7.71) and 200m (20.69) at the Big Ten Championships, ranking third in program history in both events. He finished the indoor season with the fastest freshman time in the country in the 200m and was in the top-25 overall in both events. He also competed in the 60m this season. In the 60m hurdles, Brann also was the runner-up at the Rod McCravy Memorial, third at Louisville and eighth at the Corky Classic. In the 200m, he had the fastest time in the Big Ten prelims and was fourth in the seeded competition at Louisville.
