Nineteen Buckeyes Earn WCHA Academic Awards

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Nineteen members of the No. 1 Ohio State women's hockey team earned both WCHA Scholar-Athletes and All-Academic team honors announced by the league this week.Â
The Buckeyes led the league in conference Scholar-Athlete awards. To earn the honor, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore status in their academic careers and have a GPA of at least a 3.5 on a 4.0 scale in their previous two semesters or quarters.Â
The group of Buckeye WCHA Scholar-Athletes also were named to the WCHA All-Academic Team, which is the same criteria with a 3.0 GPA requirement. Ohio State was second in the league in Academic Team honorees.Â
