
Hollowell, Keiser & Kiss are Headed to NCAA Championships

Earned spots based on scores at last weekend's NCAA Qualifier
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Three members of the Ohio State rifle team were selected on Monday to compete in the upcoming NCAA Rifle Championships, which are scheduled to take place March 8-9 on the campus of the University of West Virginia.
The Buckeyes who earned their spots based on scores submitted from the designated qualifier are: Paige Hollowell (smallbore), Derek Keiser (smallbore and air rifle) and Viktor Kiss (air rifle). Kiss is also an alternate in smallbore.
Individual and team competitions in smallbore three-position (60 shots) will be held Friday, March 8, and individual and team competitions in air rifle (60 shots) will be held Saturday, March 9. The overall team champion will be determined by combining the smallbore and air rifle team total scores into one aggregate score for each institution.
At least weekend's NCAA Qualifier in Columbus, Keiser and Kiss fired aggregate scores of 1184 and 1182, respectively. Both Keiser and Hollowell had scores of 589 in smallbore from Kiss' score of 595 in air rifle was tied for the best on the team. As a team, the Buckeyes' total of 4710 last weekend was the highest qualifier match score in program history.
