Buckeyes Roll Past No. 8 Harvard 4-1

COLUMBUS, Ohio – In just the third meeting all-time between Ohio State and Harvard on the tennis court, the top-ranked Buckeyes showed their dominance in singles play to down No. 8 Harvard 4-1.
The win improves the Buckeyes to 11-0 on the season and sends them to the semifinals if the ITA National Indoor Team Championship where they will face No. 6 Virginia at noon.
For the third consecutive match, the Buckeyes dropped the doubles point. But they rebounded by taking control right away in singles, winning all six first sets. That led to a 6-1, 6-2 win by Cannon Kingsley on court one and then a 6-2, 6-0 win from Alexander Bernard on court six.
Leading 2-1, JJ Tracy followed with a 6-1, 6-1 win on court three and then Robert Cash provided the clinching point yet again with his 6-2, 6-1 win on court five. Kingsley and Tracy also claimed the lone Buckeye doubles win.
Sunday will be the Buckeyes’ 12th semifinal appearance at the event. They have already beaten Virginia this season, winning 7-0 against the Cavaliers on Feb. 2 in Columbus.
