
Cotie McMahon Named to Big Ten Weekly Honor Roll

McMahon returned to the lineup on Sunday to lead Ohio State to a win against No. 21/21 Illinois.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Big Ten Conference announced its weekly women's basketball awards on Monday. Junior forward Cotie McMahon was named to the Big Ten Honor Roll for the first time this season following her performance against No. 21/21 Illinois yesterday. McMahon is the third Buckeye honored with a Big Ten weekly award this season.
McMahon returned to the lineup and led the Buckeyes to victory in their Big Ten opener. McMahon scored a season-high 25 points to lead the game and tallied a season-high five rebounds, adding three assists and a block. She was 7-of-12 (.583) from the floor, including a pair of three-pointers, and converted on nine free throws. McMahon converted a trio of three-point plays in the game and even stepped in to take a charge. This was her second 20+ point game in her four appearances this season as she leads the Ohio State offense averaging 18.5 points per game. McMahon is also shooting 44.4 percent from long range.
