No. 4 men’s soccer extended its school record start (8-0-2) and stayed unbeaten by rolling to a 6-3 victory at Michigan Friday in a battle of unbeatens.



The No. 4 field hockey team had its school record start to the season end over the weekend but it still enters this week’s action with a terrific 9-1 record and a 1-1 mark in the Big Ten.

No. 4 women’s hockey won its third and fourth consecutive games with a sweep of No. 8 St. Lawrence on the road to improve to 4-2-0 and 2-2-0 (WCHA) this season.

The football team, now ranked No. 2 nationally with a 5-0 record and a 2-0 mark in the Big Ten, defeated Iowa, 35-7, Saturday before the largest crowd of the season: 105,135.



The men’s golf team carded its lowest round in the final round of The Blessings Collegiate Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark., and finished sixth out of 10 teams.

The women’s golf team, which hosts the Barbara Nicklaus Cup today and tomorrow, placed ninth at the Blessings Collegiate last week.

The men’s and women’s cross country teams placed ninth and 10th out of 16 teams at the Lakefront Invitational in Chicago and hosted by Loyola.

And in an exhibition game, the men’s hockey team took to the ice for the first time this season and defeated Niagara, 3-2, in overtime on Sunday.
