Head coach Lori Walker-Hock earns her 300th win as Ohio State head coach
COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 7 Ohio State scored two goals in the first seven minutes and the Buckeyes cruised to a 3-0 victory over Maryland on a beautiful Friday night at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
With the victory, Ohio State head coach Lori Walker-Hock earned her 300th win as head coach at Ohio State. Ironically, Walker-Hock's 300th overall career victory also came against Maryland last year in College Park.
The Buckeyes first two goals were and early and quick. Senior captain Peyton McNamara scored in the seventh minute and then just 24 seconds later, NCAA and Big Ten offensive player of the week Kailyn Dudukovich found the back of the net for her 12th goal of the season.
Freshman Jacinda Bonham capped the scoring in the 68th minute with the first goal of her career.
Amanda Schlueter had a career night as she assisted on all three goals, matching the program’s single-game record. Schlueter now has eight assists on the season and 15 in her career.
With her goal Dudukovich moves into fourth place for all-time career points with 84. She is also just three goals away from tying Ohio State Hall of Famer Tiffany Cameron for the most in program history.
How it Happened
In just the seventh minute of the match Amanda Schlueter had a shot that deflected to the awaiting feet of Peyton McNamara who found the low left corner of the net off a one-touch shot.
