Pineda Vazquez Named Big Ten Diver of the Week

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Paola Pineda Vazquez has been named the Big Ten Diver of the Week, announced by the conference on Wednesday.
This is the first Big Ten weekly award for Pineda Vazquez, a graduate transfer from the University of Texas. Pineda Vazquez helped Ohio State to a 180-115 win over the Big Red as she won both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives.
Pineda Vazquez recorded an aggregate score of 339.30 on the 1-meter, which was over 60 points better than the second-place diver. On the 3-meter, she scored a 341.10. Both scores are NCAA Zones qualifiers.
The Buckeyes are back in action Friday, Nov. 1-Saturday, Nov. 2 with a dual meet at Virginia Tech.
