In its first match as the No. 1 team in the nation, the men's soccer team (11-1-2; 6-1-1 Big Ten Conference) played aggressive and defeated Northwestern, 2-0.
The men's hockey team is unbeaten through its first six games (5-0-1; 2-0-0 Big Ten) with a weekend sweep over Bowling Green in a home-and-home series.
The No. 21 women's soccer team closed its regular season with a 4-1 pummeling of No. 15 Penn State to head into the Big Ten tournament with a 11-4-3 overall mark and a 6-3-2 Big Ten record.
The No. 4 football team defeated Nebraska, 21-17, to improve to 5-1 overall and 3-1 in the Big Ten.
The No. 3 field hockey team (13-3; 4-3 Big Ten) finished its weekend 1-1, defeating Indiana and falling to No. 16 Iowa in front of its regular season finale at Northwestern this Friday.
No. 2 women's hockey team won three times last week, including winning its own Ice Breaker tournament with wins over Stonehill and No. 11/12 Cornell. The Buckeyes are 9-2-2 and 4-2-2 WCHA and are unbeaten in 11 consecutive games.
The No. 11 women's swimming and diving team and No. 12 men's swimming and diving team each defeated Denison on Friday at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion to improve to 3-0 and 2-0, respectively.
The women's tennis team competed in the UT Home Invitational in Knoxville, Tenn., Friday through Sunday and Shelly Bereznyak, Nao Nishino and Luciana Perry were all 3-0 in singles play.
