Navikonis Earns Big Ten Swimmer of the Week Honors

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State's Tomas Navikonis has been named the Big Ten Swimmer of the Week, announced by the conference on Wednesday.
Navikonis is the first Buckeye to swim an NCAA B standard time this season. In a 191-107 victory over Kentucky to open the season, Navikonis won the 200 free with a B cut time of 1:34.53. He is the Big Ten's defending 200 free champion.
Navikonis also picked up a victory in the 100 free, finishing in 43.63..
The Buckeyes are back in action on Friday, Oct. 25 when they host Denison at 5:00 p.m. at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.
