Buckeyes Break Covelli Attendance Record Against Nebraska

Ohio State drew 4,156 fans to Covelli on Saturday, which is the highest attendance ever in Covelli.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's volleyball team (8-10, 1-7 B1G) fell to No. 2 Nebraska (18-1, 8-0 B1G) in straight sets (18-25, 18-25, 16-25) on Saturday afternoon inside the Covelli Center.

The first set was tight early before Nebraska created the separation needed for a 25-18 set win. The Huskers claimed the second set by the same score as the first, 25-18. Nebraska completed the sweep with a 25-16 win in the third set.

Rylee Rader recorded her 1,000th career kill with her first kill of the match. Emily Londot was the first in the match to reach 10 kills, a mark she's achieved in every match this season, and finished with a match-high 16 kills. Mia Tuman and Olivia Hasbrook led the team with eight digs apiece.

Nebraska opened scoring but Ohio State scored the next three points. Rader's 1,000th career kill gave the Buckeyes a 5-3 lead and an ace put OSU up 7-6. The Huskers scored the next five points to take an 11-7 lead and prompt a Buckeye timeout. Ohio State used a 3-0 run to trim its deficit to three points at 15-12. The Buckeyes trailed by as few as two points down the stretch, but the Huskers closed a 25-18 set win with back-to-back points.
