
Ohio State Fires a 4700 at Air Force

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State University rifle team fired a team score of 4700 against Air Force (4736) on Sunday in Colorado Springs on Sunday.
The team was led by Viktor Kiss, who fired the highest team aggregate of 1184, and Dylan Gregory, who fired his career best aggregate of 1174.
In smallbore, the team finished with a score of 2329 led by Viktor Kiss (588), Adrienne Hanson (581), and Derek Keiser (581). Paige Hollowell (579) and Lillian Warren (576) rounded out team scoring. Dylan Gregory fired a career best score of 585 to lead Ohio State's individual performers with John Hamilton (575), and Nathan Wehrlen (574) rounding out individual scoring.
In air rifle, the team fired a score of 2371 with a solid overall team effort from Viktor Kiss (596), Paige Hollowell (594), Derek Keiser (591), Adrienne Hanson (590), and Dylan Gregory (589). Lillian Warren (583), John Hamilton (582), and Nathan Wehrlen (571) rounded out individual scoring.
Coach Tanoue: "I know that the team is leaving Air Force knowing that we didn't have the performance that we were looking for. That said our group has maintained a fantastic mindset all season and we will regroup and be ready for our upcoming opportunities which are going to come one after the other in the coming weeks."
Ohio State returns to action with two matches this week. First will be a home match at Converse Hall with Alaska, Fairbanks and Air Force on Thursday, February 1 followed by the Patriot Rifle Conference Championship Match which is being held at The X Count in Fort Wayne, Ind.
