COLUMBUS, Ohio – Following the Ohio State women's hockey team's sweep of Minnesota in Minneapolis last weekend, Buckeyes Joy Dunne and Raygan Kirk were voted winners of Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) weekly conference awards. Dunne is the league's Rookie of the Week and Kirk is Goaltender of the Week.Â

Dunne recorded her second career hat trick in the Buckeyes' 7-0 win over Minnesota last Friday. She added an assist in the game for a career-high tying four-point performance against the then-ranked No. 2 Gophers in Minneapolis. The O'Fallon, Mo. led the league with a .600 shot percentage, scoring three goals on five shots on goal.

Dunne led league freshmen in points (4) and goals (3) last weekend. With her help, the Buckeyes became the first team since 2021 to sweep Minnesota at home.

Kirk played both games of the Buckeyes' trip to Ridder Arena. She earned a .974 save percentage and allowed just one goal on the weekend. The fifth-year senior posted 37 saves against Minnesota.

The Ste. Anne, Manitoba native made 20 saves in the Buckeyes' shutout of the Gophers in game one to hand Minnesota its first shutout in three years and pick up her fourth of the year.
Kirk has been named Goaltender of the Week four times this season. Dunne picks up her second Rookie of the Week award.Â

Ohio State plays No. 7 Minnesota Duluth this weekend, Jan. 19-20, at the OSU Ice Rink. Puck drop is set for 6 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday. The games will also be streamed on B1G+ (subscription required).
