
Big Ten 2023-24 Women’s Basketball Schedule Unveiled

The Big Ten announced the 2023-24 women’s basketball schedule on Thursday on the B1G Today show.
COLUMBUS, Ohio?– The Big Ten Conference announced on Thursday the 2023-24 women's basketball schedule. Each team is scheduled to play 18 total conference games with times and TV coverage to be announced at a later date.
Ohio State opens the Big Ten slate at home against Penn State on Sunday, Dec. 10. Other home games for the Buckeyes include Rutgers (Jan. 11), Michigan State (Jan. 14), Iowa (Jan. 21), Wisconsin (Feb. 1), Indiana (Feb. 4), Nebraska (Feb. 14), Maryland (Feb. 25) and Michigan (Feb. 28).
The Buckeyes' first road game is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 30 at Michigan. Other road games for OSU include Northwestern (Jan. 5), Maryland (Jan. 17), Illinois (Jan. 25), Purdue (Jan. 28), Minnesota (Feb. 8), Michigan State (Feb. 11), Penn State (Feb. 22) and Iowa (March 3).
In 2022-23, Ohio State made its first NCAA Elite Eight appearance in 30 years and finished with a 28-8 overall record. The Buckeyes finished as the runner-up in the Big Ten Tournament as the No. 4 seed after completing the largest comeback in conference tournament history in the semifinals (24-point deficit in the third quarter). The Buckeyes were one of three undefeated teams in the country midway through January, posting the best start in program history at 19-0. OSU earned a program-best nine wins against ranked opponents and recorded the most steals (406) in program history. The Buckeyes' three wins against top-10 opponents is the most since the 1992-93 season. The team generated the largest average home attendance (5,955) since the 2005-06 season.
