Londot and Rader Attend Big Ten Media Day, TV Schedule Announced

The Big Ten held its second women’s volleyball media day and announced its TV schedule on Tuesday.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Big Ten Conference began its second annual Big Ten Women's Volleyball Media Days on Tuesday and announced the 2023 TV schedule. Head Coach Jen Flynn Oldenburg and seniors Emily Londot and Rylee Rader represented the Buckeyes at media day.
Media day featured interviews with BTN in multiple capacities, Sirius XM, Volleyball World and a traditional press conference as well as digital media opportunities like creating Tik Tok videos. The Buckeyes will have eight, potentially nine Big Ten matches broadcast live on BTN this season. Home matches on BTN include Sept. 27 vs. Wisconsin at 8 p.m. ET, Oct. 25 vs. Northwestern at 6 p.m. ET and Nov. 3 against Minnesota at 6:30 p.m. ET. Road games scheduled for a TV broadcast include Sept. 22 at Nebraska at 9 p.m. ET on BTN, Oct. 7 at Penn State at 6:30 p.m. ET on BTN, Oct. 18 at Wisconsin at 8 p.m. ET on BTN, Oct. 29 at Michigan at 2 p.m. ET on FOX/FS2, Nov. 15 at Illinois at 9 p.m. ET on BTN and Nov. 18 at Minnesota at 8 p.m. ET on either BTN or B1G+.
Londot and Rader were both selected to the Preseason All-Big Ten Team, as announced by the conference, while the Buckeyes were picked to finish sixth. Londot, the reigning AVCA Northeast Region Player of the Year, also was named to the AVCA All-American Second Team, All-Region Team, All-Big Ten First Team and 2022 Preseason All-Big Ten Team. She surpassed 1,000 career kills as a junior in 2022 and now owns 1,147 kills and 684 digs as a Buckeye. Rader was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team and the Preseason All-Big Ten Team last season and has previously earned All-American honors. Last season, she broke into the top-20 in program history and now ranks 18th with 285 career blocks, also totaling 673 career kills in the Scarlet & Gray.
The Buckeyes open the 2023 season with the NKU Tournament the weekend of Aug. 25-27 against Northern Kentucky, Bowling Green and Eastern Tennessee. Ohio State begins its home schedule against Georgia Tech on Saturday, Sept. 1 and Sunday, Sept. 2.
