
Fourteen Buckeyes Invited to 2023 USA Hockey Women's National Festival

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Fourteen current and former Ohio State women's hockey players have been selected to the 2023 USA Hockey Women's National Festival roster, the organization announced Tuesday. The event will be held Aug. 7-13 at Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, N.Y.
A contingent of ten current Buckeyes – Cayla Barnes, Lauren Bernard, Riley Brengman, Joy Dunne, Hadley Hartmetz, Kelsey King, Emma Peschel, Amanda Thiele, Makenna Webster and Kiara Zanon – will join Ohio State alumnae invitees Madison Bizal, Clair DeGeorge, Jincy (Dunne) Roese and Gabby Rosenthal.
The Festival brings the top American female players from the U18 level to the national team and assists in the evaluation process for the 2023-24 U.S. Women's National Team set to compete during the 2023-24 Rivalry Series in November and December, and the selection process for the U18 and Collegiate Women's Select Team rosters for the U18 & Collegiate Series against Canada that will take place August 16-19 in Lake Placid. Rosters will be announced at the conclusion of the Festival on Aug. 13.
