Wrapping up another busy week in Buckeye athletics …
The men’s volleyball team (22-9) went on the road and defeated Ball State, 3-1, to win the MIVA Tournament and earn the league’s automatic invite into the NCAA championships. Congratulations to coach Kevin Burch and the team as they now face King in an opening round NCAA match in Fairfax, Va., this Sunday (April 30).
Ty Tucker’s men’s tennis team won its 17th consecutive Big Ten championship over the weekend to set a new Big Ten record. The Buckeyes are 26-2 overall and were 9-0 in the Big Ten.

Women’s golf finished third at the Big Ten championships for the second consecutive year with a 54-hole score of 871 (+19). Lauren Peter led the way for Ohio State, finishing in a tie for sixth.

Softball came back from an 8-0 deficit to defeat Purdue, 12-9, in Game 2 and then won the series as Allison Smith tossed a no-hitter in Game 3 on Sunday as the Buckeyes won, 9-0. The team is 30-15 overall and 10-7 in Big Ten play.
The men’s golf team won its own Robert Kepler Intercollegiate by 19 strokes over the weekend. This is the team’s second win of the season and its 25th Kepler win.

The men’s and women’s track and field teams combined for eight victories at its annual Jesse Owens Classic, contested in Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium, including a school record throw in the discus by Faith Bender (61.13m / 200’6.7”).

The rowing team won six of seven races vs. Indiana and Michigan State this weekend at Griggs Reservoir on Senior Day.
The baseball Buckeyes went 2-3 last week and is an even, 20-20, on the year.
Women’s tennis shut out Rutgers and Maryland by identical, 4-0, scores over the weekend to finish its regular season with an 18-6 record and a 10-1 mark in the Big Ten (2nd). This is the 10th consecutive year the program has finished in the Top 3 of the Big Ten.
