
Buckeyes Complete Second Day of OSU Winter Invite

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The men's and women's swimming teams wrapped up the second day of the Ohio State Winter Invitational on Saturday, earning eight total event wins.
Men's Meet Notes
- The relay team of Josh Bogniard, Rylan McDaniel, Evan Fentress and Jack Burroughs won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:27.34.
- Luke Paxton picked up a win in the 100 fly, touching the wall at 47.47. Fentress finished fourth with a time of 48.00.
- Jonathan Edwards (3:47.58), Nathan Holty (3:50.62) and Michael Cooper (3:54.27) finished 1-2-3 in the 400 IM. Edwards' and Holty's times are NCAA B standard times.
- Jay Johnson won the 200 free with an NCAA B cut time of 1:35.66.
- McDaniel earned a second-place finish in the 100 breast, finishing in 54.45. Holty (56.35) placed third and Guillermo Cepeda Balboa (57.70) placed fourth.
- Bogniard won the 100 back with a time of 47.99. Paxton finished second with a time of 48.09.
Women's Meet Notes
- The relay team of Mackenzie Dewitt, Mia Lachey, Mairin O'Brien and Kennady Kilger opened the night with a win in the 200 medley relay; they finished in 1:43.87.
- Annie Krusinki finished third in the 100 fly with a time of 54.51. Dewitt placed sixth with a time of 55.65.
- Libby Gilbert placed fourth in the 200 free, finishing in 1:49.33.
- Gilbert won the 100 back with a time of 54.14. Sydney Davids placed second with a time of 54.63.
- O'Brien, Gilbert, Sanna Peterson and Alyssa Graves earned a win in the 800 free relay with a time of 7:31.26.
