Kilkeary, Cannon Earn Top 10 Finishes at Midlands

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Freshmen Vincent Kilkeary (125) and Brandon Cannon (141) each finished in seventh-place at the 2023 Ken Kraft Midlands Championships in Evanston, Illinois, Saturday. Both were wrestling unattached at the event.
Kilkeary finished the tournament with a 5-2 record after a win in sudden victory (4-1) over Tristan Lujan of Michigan State in the seventh-place match.
Cannon earned six wins against a pair of defeats. He won the seventh-place match 9-3 by decision over Dylan Layton of Cleveland State.
No. 6 Ohio State resumes its dual schedule Friday at home against No. 8 Cornell at the Covelli Center.
