- Congratulations to wrestling coach Tom Ryan, who has won 200 dual victories now at Ohio State (and 309 for his career) after his team defeated defeated No. 3 Virginia Tech, 24-12, and Edinboro, 53-0, last week.



- At the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships Friday in Madison, Wis., the women’s cross country team was fifth and the men 15th. Addie Engel and Daniella Santos finished second and seventh, respectively, to earn All-Great Lakes Region honors and put themselves in position to receive individual berths into the NCAA Championships.




- Men’s basketball opened its season with a win over Oakland and a hard-fought loss to No. 15 Texas A&M in a noisy Schottenstein Center on Friday.




- The women’s basketball team opened on the road with a loss to USC in Las Vegas but returned home to post a 50-point win over IUPUI Sunday in front of another festive and excited crowd at the Schott.




- A nine-win season, including two wins over nationally ranked opponents and a 17th trip to the NCAA tournament, came to an end Saturday as the women’s soccer team lost at Pitt in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
- Earlier in the week, the men’s soccer team (6-6-6) lost in the semifinals of the Big Ten tournament on penalty kicks to Penn State.
- Women’s volleyball went 1-1 last week, including a win over Michigan State, and is now in the midst of a three-match road swing.




- The football team defeated Michigan State for the seventh consecutive time, 38-3, Saturday evening at Ohio Stadium.





- The swimming and diving teams remain undefeated after dominant dual meet victories over Denison. The No. 5 women’s team defeated the Big Red, 180-108, and the No. 14 men’s team won 186-103.
