Four Buckeyes in the Top 20 Through 2 Rounds at Hampton Inv.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State fired a 9-under 279 on Monday afternoon to climb into fourth place after nearly two rounds of the Hamptons Invitational at the Maidstone Club in the East Hamptons.
Four Buckeyes are in the Top 20, led by senior Adam Wallin who carded rounds of 71-68 and sits at 5-under par and tied for fifth. Wallin bogeyed his first two holes of the day on Monday morning but rebounded with an eagle and three birdies to post the morning 71. He then made four more birdies and another eagle in his afternoon round.
Maxwell Moldovan bounced-back from a 74 in the morning with a 68 of his own in the afternoon. He countered just one bogey with three birdies and an eagle. He sits in a tie for 10th at 2-under par.
Jacob Tarkany is a shot behind Moldovan at 1-under par after he posted rounds of 73-70. He started the second round with four birdies in the first seven holes and would make a total of eight birdies on the day.
Neal Shipley is the fourth Buckeye in the Top 20 as he is tied for 19th at even par. He opened with a 71 and followed with a 73 in the afternoon. Jackson Chandler rounded out the scoring five with a 72 in the morning and an 80 in the second round.
Tyler Sabo is playing as an individual this week and shot rounds of 76-73. He was 5-over par after two holes in the second round but battled back with an eagle at No. 15 and then two birdies in his final three holes to rally for a 71. He is tied for 42nd.
There were two groups left to finish the second round as darkness fell on the course. They will finish the second round at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday and the final round will start shortly after.
