COLUMBUS, Ohio – Week in and week out, Buckeye student-athletes raise the standard of excellence set at Ohio State, whether that be in competition, in the classroom, or in the community. 'Buckeye Spotlight' recognizes student-athletes who had noteworthy accomplishments both in contests and beyond the box score.

- In the Buckeyes' come-from-behind 4-3 win at Mercyhurst to open the season, Burnside was key to the comeback with two third-period goals, including the gamewinner.
- It was his third career two-goal game, after scoring twice vs. Minnesota Oct. 2, 2022 and vs. Bowling Green Dec. 17, 2022.
- He was also part of the Buckeye penalty kill that was 3-for-3 and allowed just two shots on goal at Mercyhurst.
- Burnside and the Buckeyes open their home slate with games vs. Lindenwood Friday and Saturday in Value City Arena.
- The Buckeye duo won the fourth ITA All-American Doubles Championship in program history last week in Tulsa
- Cash and Tracy didn't lose a set over the course of the five matches
- For Cash, he became the first Buckeye to win multiple ITA All-American Doubles Championships
- This was the third time in the last five years that Ohio State had a doubles representative in the doubles finals
- Faith Choi had a phenomenal 54 holes as the Buckeyes wrapped up their fall season at the Illini Women's Invitational at Medinah this week.
- Choi shot two under-par rounds on the first day of the tournament, firing a 70 (-2) and a 71 (-1). She turned in 10 birdies, which was tied for the most among the field of 84 players.
- She capped the tournament by firing a 67 (-5), which ties her career low.
- Choi finished the tournament with a career-best 54-hole score of 208 (-8) to tie for third place.
- Senior middle Rylee Rader had her best weekend of the season in a win at Rutgers and a five-set marathon at No. 14 Penn State, leading the Buckeyes with a .429 hitting percentage and five service aces.
- Against the Scarlet Knights, Rader totaled a season-high 13 kills (hitting .444) and 18.5 points as well as a career-high four aces, surpassing 1,000 career points in the scarlet & gray.
- Against the Nittany Lions, Rader recorded her 800th career kill and again tied her season-high 13 kills, adding four digs, a pair of blocks and an ace.
- Rodijk scored two goals in a 3-0 win at Kent State on Sunday to help the Buckeyes improve their record to 11-3 on the season.
- Ohio State has two key conference games at home this weekend: vs. No. 4 Rutgers (12-0) on Friday and No. 10 Maryland (10-3) on Sunday.
- The Buckeyes are ranked No. 9 in this week's NFHCA poll and are 4-1 in the Big Ten, currently standing in third place with just two conference games remaining.
- Rodijk is Ohio State's second leading scorer with 18 points on eight goals and two assists. A graduate student, she spent four years at UAlbany and is majoring in kinesiology.
- Keeper Max Trejo has not allowed a goal in his last two outings, most recently in a scoreless draw against rival Michigan in Columbus.
- The Buckeyes allowed Michigan just six shots and only one on net, which Trejo saved in clean sheet effort.
- Ohio State has not allowed a goal in the last three matches and over a stretch of 298 minutes.
- Trejo has four career shutouts in 12 career starts to go with one combined blanking.
- The Buckeyes are at Louisville Tuesday (7 p.m./ACCN) and Indiana Sunday (Noon/B1G+)
