
Ohio State Finishes 8th at NCAA Ann Arbor Regional

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State's 2021-22 season ended Wednesday with a ninth-place finish in the 2022 NCAA Ann Arbor Women's Golf Regional at the University of Michigan Golf Course.
The Top 4 teams advanced to the national tournament May 20-25 at the Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. No. 5 San Jose State (+10/862), No. 8 Virginia (+13/865), No. 20 Arkansas (+28/880) and No. 18 Michigan (+28/880) will represent the Ann Arbor Regional.
The Buckeyes shot 298 Wednesday, their best round of the 54-hole tournament to finish at 902 (300-304-298/+50). Individually, Faith Choi finished tied for 26th with rounds of 75-75-74 (224/+11). Lauren Peter shot the best round of the final day for the Buckeyes with a 73 to finish tied for 32nd (78-75-73=226/+13).
Natasha Andrea Oon of San Jose State was the individual medalist at 6-under (207). Virginia Tech's Emily Mahar (-1/212) and Old Dominion's Jana Melichova (E/213) also advanced to the national tournament as the top two individuals not on advancing teams. Mahar finished second and Melichova tied for third.
