Ohio State Leads After Two Rounds at Lady Buckeye

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State took the early lead after round one of the 2022 Lady Buckeye Invitational Friday behind Jillian Bourdage’s 2-under 70 at the Ohio State Golf Club Scarlet Course and maintained the lead through the second 18 to lead the event by three over Illinois.
As a team, Ohio State shot 298 over the first 18 holes, the only team to break 300 in the morning round, to take a seven shot lead over Illinois. The Buckeyes finished the day at 298-307=605/+29.
In addition to the six starters in the Ohio State lineup, three other Buckeyes also participated as individuals in the tournament field.
Emily Hummer, a redshirt freshman from Upper Arlington, Ohio, fired an opening round 72 to tie for the No. 3 spot after 18 holes. She finished the day tied for the tournament lead with a 73 in round two to finish the day at +1 (145).
The event, the 4oth edition of the Lady Buckeye Invite, concludes with 18 holes Saturday.
