COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State is 15th at the 2022 Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge after 36 holes were completed Monday. The event is being played at the Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes Estates, California. Ohio State is the host school for the event, now in its 26th season.
Two Buckeyes, Faith Choi and Kristin Jamieson, who was playing as an individual, withdrew from the event leaving Ohio State with just four participants for the remainder of the tournament. Teams are allowed to play five with the top four scores counting toward the team score. The tournament concludes with 18 holes Tuesday.
The Buckeyes shot 302 Monday with Jillian Bourdage firing an even-par 71 to lead the Buckeyes. She moved up 11 spots on the individual leaderboard to enter the final day of competition tied for the No. 25 spot.
The elite field consists of 10 teams ranked among the Top 20 nationally. No. 2 Oregon is the team leader after 36 holes at 2-under 566.
Individually, Rachel Kuehn of Wake Forest, the leader after the first 18 Sunday, remains in the lead at 8-under after shooting back-to-back rounds of 67.
