COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 2 Ohio State women’s hockey team continues its Minnesota road trip at St. Cloud State tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 8 for its third game of a five-game trip. The Buckeyes (21-5-0, 17-5-0 WCHA) and Huskies (9-16-2, 4-15-2 WCHA) face off from the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud, Minn. at 3 p.m. ET. The game will be streamed on B1G+ (subscription required).
Buckeyes in a Nutshell
- Ohio State enters the matchup, and its third game of a five-game road trip, coming off a sweep of Minnesota State last weekend. The Buckeyes earned 5-0 and 7-1 wins over the Mavericks to improve to 7-3-0 on the road this season.

History vs. St. Cloud State
- The Buckeyes and Huskies previously met in the fall, with Ohio State earning the series sweep at the OSU Ice Rink. In game two of the series, the team tied the program record with 10 goals in the game.
- In the all-time series, Ohio State owns a 51-30-10 record over St. Cloud State.
- Tuesday’s game will be the first time since Oct. 4, 2019 that the Buckeyes will play the Huskies in St. Cloud, Minn.
2022 Winter Olympics

- For Team Canada, Natalie Spooner leads the women’s ice hockey tournament with 10 points on two goals and eight assists. Emma Maltais has recorded one assist in three games of her first Olympic games as the Canadians open the games with a 3-0 record.
- Andrea Braendli leads the tournament with 163 saves for Team Switzerland. She is eighth among goaltenders at the Olympics with a .881 save percentage.
- Jincy Dunne has registered two assists in her first Olympic appearance. She has helped Team USA to a 3-0 start to the Olympics.
- Minttu Tuominen recorded a goal in Finland’s game against Canada and has tallied two points so far in Beijing.
- Sofie Lundin, an incoming freshman for the Buckeyes, has skated in three games for Sweden.
