COLUMBUS, Ohio – Isabelle Boulais, a senior on the No. 10 Ohio State women’s tennis team, has been named Big Ten Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
A native of Mississauga, Ontario, Boulais posted four singles wins through the first two weekends of play in 2022, including two Top 30 victories.
At No. 6 Duke last Friday, Boulais defeated No. 26-ranked Emma Jackson on court three, 6-1, 6-4. At No. 8 NC State Sunday, the Buckeye won in three sets over No. 25 Abigail Rencheli on court two. She also picked up two singles wins at the Michigan Invitational Jan. 14-16 against players from Duke and Notre Dame, along with a doubles victory vs. the Irish.
This is the first weekly Big Ten honor for Boulais. She is a two-time All-Big Ten honoree and was the league freshman of the year in 2019. She was an NCAA singles qualifier as a freshman and a doubles qualifier last year.
