COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State hits the road to take on in-state foe Dayton on Thursday evening at Baujan Field. The Buckeyes are coming off back-to-back wins and have won the last three meetings with the Flyers. First touch is set for 7 p.m.
- Ohio State is 10-2-1 all-time vs. Dayton and won the last meeting which came in the opening round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament.
- The Buckeyes are 4-2-0 on the season after completing its five-match homestand with a 4-1 record. Included in that homestand was a 4-2 win over No. 18 UCF and most recently, a 2-1 win over Navy last Sunday on Senior Day.
- The four goals against UCF were the most the Buckeyes have scored vs. a ranked opponent since 2009.
- Dayton is 3-1-2 on the season and is coming in off back-to-back draws with Kentucky and IUPUI. The Flyers own wins over Akron, Kent State and Northern Kentucky.
- Senior Kayla Fischer leads the Buckeyes in points this season with 13 as she has four goals and five assists. She has notched 11 points in the last four matches which is the most for a Buckeye in a four-match stretch since 2012.
- Fischer was also named the B1G Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
- The hat trick Emma Sears turned in on Aug. 22 vs. Akron was the second of her career. She also had one vs. Wisconsin on Feb. 25, 2021. Sears is tied with Fischer for the team lead with four goals.
- The win vs. Akron on Aug. 22 was the 300th in program history. Head coach Lori Walker-Hock, who is in her 25th season at Ohio State, has been on the sidelines for 265 victories.

- Ohio State completed its early season five-match homestand with a 4-1 record. Included in the four wins was a 4-2 victory over No. 18 UCF.
- The four goals scored against No. 18 UCF was the most against a ranked opponent since the Buckeyes beat No. 23 Indiana 6-0 on Nov. 1, 2009.
- In goal, Bailey Kolinski has started the last 20 games and this season, she has made a total of 15 stops.
- Izzy Rodriguez is the reigning Big Ten Defender of the Year and a third team United Soccer Coaches All-American.
- Kayla Fischer was a first team All-Big Ten honoree last year and leads the team with 13 points (4g, 5a) so far this season. That is tied for ninth in the country and is second in the Big Ten.
- Fischer has had 11 points in the last four matches. That is the most points by a Buckeyes in a four-match stretch since Tiffany Cameron notched 18 points in a four-match stretch in late October of 2012.
- Emma Sears led the team in goals (7) and points (17) as a sophomore last season. She has four goals this season and has attempted a team-high 27 shots.
- Senior Talani Barnett has played in 55 matches, the second-most of any Buckeye on the roster this season.
- Midfielder Kine Flotre scored three goals as a freshman last season and has one goal and three assists so far this year.
- Freshman Kailyn Dudukovich has two goals this season and has attempted 21 shots.
- Junior Kitty Jones Black is second on the team with four assists. She notched a pair of helpers in the 4-2 win over No. 18 UCF.
