COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State closes its five-match homestand on Sunday when it welcomes Navy to Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. First touch is set for Noon and the match will be streamed on B1G+.
Fans are encouraged to come early as Sunday will also be Senior Day. The program will recognize Marissa Birzon, Bailey Kolinski and Izzy Rodriguez prior to the match.
- Ohio State won the only previous meeting with Navy 2-0 in Annapolis in 1996.
- The Buckeyes are 3-2-0 on the season following an impressive 4-2 victory over No. 18 UCF on Thursday evening. Kayla Fischer notched her second five-point night of the season with two goals and an assist.
- The four goals against UCF were the most the Buckeyes have scored vs. a ranked opponent since 2009.
- Navy is 3-1-1 on the young season with wins over Loyola Marymont, Towson and Maryland. The Midshipmen started their Ohio road trip on Thursday night with a 1-0 loss at Ohio.
- Senior Kayla Fischer leads the Buckeyes in points this season with 12 as she has four goals and four assists. She has had two five-point matches this season against Bowling Green and UCF. Her career-high for goals in a season is five and she has four in four matches this year.
- The hat trick Emma Sears turned in on Aug. 22 vs. Akron was the second of her career. She also had one vs. Wisconsin on Feb. 25, 2021. Sears is tied with Fischer for the team lead with four goals.
- The win vs. Akron on Aug. 22 was the 300th in program history. Head coach Lori Walker-Hock, who is in her 25th season at Ohio State, has been on the sidelines for 265 victories.

- Ohio State has scored 11 goals in the last four matches. That is the most in a four-match stretch since the Buckeyes scored 13 early in the 2017 season.
- The four goals scored against No. 18 UCF was the most against a ranked opponent since the Buckeyes beat No. 23 Indiana 6-0 on Nov. 1, 2009.
- In goal, Bailey Kolinski has started the last 19 games and this season, she has made a total of 13 stops.
- Izzy Rodriguez is the reigning Big Ten Defender of the Year and a third team United Soccer Coaches All-American.
- Kayla Fischer was a first team All-Big Ten honoree last year and leads the team with 12 points (4g, 4a) so far this season. That is tied for this in the country and leads the Big Ten.
- Emma Sears led the team in goals (7) and points (17) as a sophomore last season. She has four goals this season and has attempted a team-high 21 shots.
- Senior Talani Barnett has played in 54 matches, the second-most of any Buckeye on the roster this season.
- Midfielder Kine Flotre scored three goals as a freshman last season and has three assists so far this year.
- Freshman Kailyn Dudukovich scored the first of what may be many goals in her career on Aug. 22 vs. Akron. The West Chester, Ohio native has 19 shot attempts through the first five matches.
- Sophomore Chloe Delyser broke through and scored her first collegiate goal vs. BGSU on Aug. 26. She also added an assist in the match.
- Junior Kitty Jones Black is tied for the team-lead with four assists. She notched a pair of helpers in the 4-2 win over No. 18 UCF.
