
14 From Women’s Hockey are AHCA All-American Scholars

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Fourteen Ohio State women’s hockey players were recognized on Monday for exceptional work in the classroom during the 2020-21 academic year. The group of Buckeyes were among 385 student-athletes throughout Division I to be named Krampade All-American Scholars by the American Hockey Coaches Association.
To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.6 GPA for each semester, regardless of whether the school’s hockey team was able to play this season or not.
The Buckeyes’ honorees were:
- Madison Bizal, a junior from Elk River, Minn. majoring in sport industry
- Andrea Braendli, a junior goalkeeper from Zurich, Switzerland majoring in criminology and criminal justice
- Lisa Bruno, a senior from Whitby, Ontario majoring in sport industry
- Jennifer Gardiner, a sophomore from Surrey, British Columbia majoring in sport industry
- Sophie Jaques, a junior from Toronto, Ontario majoring in civil and geodetic engineering
- Paetyn Levis, a junior from Rogers, Minn. majoring in health sciences
- Emma Maltais, a senior from Burlington, Ontario majoring in health sciences
- Gabby Rosenthal, a junior from Blane, Minn. majoring in speech and hearing science
- Sara Saekkinen, a junior from Pirkkala, Finland majoring in sport industry
- Eve Savander, a junior from Joensuu, Finland majoring in sport industry
- Liz Schepers, a senior from Mound, Minn. majoring in bioethics
- Tatum Skaggs, a senior from Hartland, Wisc. majoring in special education
- Amanda Thiele, a freshman from Milford, Mich. majoring in criminology and criminal justice
- Lynsey Wallace, a senior from Seven Hills, Ohio majoring in animal sciences
