
Buckeyes in 12th After Day 1 of Indiana Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Ohio State opened play at the Indiana Invitational on Saturday, posting an opening round 304 and currently sit at 29-over in the second round when play was suspended.
The Pfau Golf Course is hosting its first women’s collegiate event and just one team in the 16-team field is under par. The Buckeyes currently are in 12th place. This is a play six, count four event.
Lauren Peter leads the team as she is 7-over par through 35 holes. She is just 2-over for her second round and has the par-5 ninth left the play.
Kailie Vongsaga played the steadiest on Saturday, making the most pars on the team. She is just 8-over par and has two holes left in the second round. Aneka Seumanutafa and Skylar Thompson are both 10-over and tied for 55th.
Kristin Jamieson and Alanis Sakuma each were able to finish their second rounds. Jamieson had the best round for the Buckeyes in the morning with a 2-over 74 but then posted an 83 in the afternoon round. Sakuma carded rounds of 78-81.
Play will resume on Sunday morning at 8:15 a.m. Those that need to finish, will finish, and then the third round will begin immediately following the conclusion.
