Game Basics

- Ohio State defeated Maryland (4-2) in the first game of the Big Ten Regional weekend last Thursday at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. Rutgers defeated Michigan State 1-0 in double-overtime to advance for a meeting with the Buckeyes at noon Sunday at JOMS in Columbus.
- Against Maryland, Ohio State trailed 1-0 before scoring the next four goals for the eventual 4-2 victory. Freshman Peyton McNamara scored twice with Kayla Fischer and Alyssa Baumbick each adding a goal in the win.
- Entering postseason play, the Buckeyes were coming off their third-consecutive shutout win, a 1-0 victory in East Lansing April 3. Emma Sears scored, her sixth goal on the year, to give Ohio State its fourth-consecutive win. Ohio State has won its last five and is undefeated in the last seven outings.
