The 2021 Big Ten Men’s Hockey Tournament bracket has been announced. The single elimination tournament, which includes all seven teams, will be held in Compton Family Ice Arena in Notre Dame, Indiana, Sunday through Tuesday, with BTN televising all six games. Day one includes three quarterfinals, with two semifinals on day two and the championship game on day three. The tournament winner receives the conference’s automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
The No. 6 seed Buckeyes will take on No. 3 Michigan in the quarterfinals at 8:30 p.m. Sunday (March 14). The winner of that game will face the winner of a game between No. 2 Minnesota and No. 7 Michigan State at 8:30 p.m. Monday (March 15). The championship game will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday (March 16).
Ohio State and Michigan have met just one time in the Big Ten Tournament, a 3-2 Ohio State overtime victory in the 2018 semifinals. The teams were scheduled to face off in the 2020 semifinals in Columbus before the remainder of the tournament was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ohio State is 10-6 all-time in Big Ten Tournament games, with an 8-0 record in the quarterfinals.
