COLUMBUS, Ohio –The Ohio State women’s soccer team (2-0-1 BIG) earned its second-consecutive win of the season with a 3-1 victory at Maryland (0-3-1 B1G) Thursday at Ludwig Field in College Park.
Lori Walker-Hock, head coach of the Buckeyes, credited the team’s depth in the win.
“It was a solid team effort today,” Walker-Hock said. “The depth of our bench was extremely helpful. Our young players are really growing into the pace of the Big Ten.”
The Buckeyes scored first on a goal by freshman Peyton McNamara, the first collegiate score for the Norwalk, Conn., native. The score came in the 7th minute unassisted.
